The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Ryazan region Nikolay Lyubimov, a member of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Economic Policy Igor Morozov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Ryazan region Dmitry Filippov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Boris Shemyakin, General Director of LLC Vakinskoe Agro Sergey Turta and representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor, writes The DairyNews.

The new stage of the dairy livestock complex is designed for 2300 cows. This is the second stage of a large-scale investment project that was launched in the region at the end of 2013. Then the largest robotic farm in Europe began operating in Ryazan region.

The new complex includes a milking and dairy unit, maternity barn and a barn for dry cows, cowsheds and calf houses, a complex of silage and haylage trenches, a veterinary unit, other necessary premises and service lines. The volume of investments amounted to 1.52 billion rubles. The new farm is planned to produce 19.6 thousand tons of milk per year. The implementation of the project allowed to create 57 jobs.

Today, this equipment of the complex is one of the best in Russia. ‘It is very important that we continue to open new modern well-equipped farms, according to all world standards. For us, this means additional capacities, additional jobs, taxes and investments,’ Nikolay Lyubimov said. ‘The project is very large and it continues to develop, there are plans to create a third stage. We supported him and will continue to do so in the future.’

The Governor expressed confidence that in the near future Vakinskoe Agro will reach a yield of 56 thousand tons of milk per year. ‘This is a very serious figure for our region, for the whole of central Russia,’ he stressed. To date, the company is already one of the three regional leaders in gross milk yield.

The head of the region emphasized the organization of a closed production cycle, when the raw materials of the enterprise are processed at its own plant. ‘Milk is processed on the spot, that is, finished products are created from it, which are then sold in stores throughout Russia. I would like all our milk producers to follow this strategy. Then all the added value remains here, on the Ryazan land,’ Nikolai Lyubimov said.

In his comments to journalists, the Governor stressed that great attention is paid to the development of agriculture in the region, and high indicators have been achieved. In general, the productivity of animals in the region is now about 8 tons of milk per cow per year. ‘This is higher than the average Russian indicator, that is, our agricultural producers really know how to work and use all modern technologies,’ he said. According to the head of the region, milk production in Ryazan region has increased 1.5 times in 7 years.
