Udmurt enterprise Uva-Moloko is restoring Apastovsky dairy plant in Tatarstan. This was announced during the visit of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov to the enterprise, reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture to The DairyNews.

The former dairy plant was purchased by the investor LLC Uva-Moloko from the Republic of Udmurtia, now work is underway to restore the closed Apastovsky dairy plant.

The minister was told that the repair of buildings began in January 2020 and in September they began to install the equipment. This year, it is planned to start collecting milk, and launch the production part of this facility. The processing capacity will be up to 450 tons of milk per day. The project “Apastovsky dairy plant” is aimed at creating a production capacity of up to 40 tons/day of semi-hard cheeses and whey up to 23 tons/day. This is 12.6 thousand tons/year of finished products.

The company plans to produce dairy products: whey, cheeses (Dutch, Poshekhonsky, Kostroma, Gouda, mozzarella, Roquefort, Russian, cream cheese, processed cheeses). 80 jobs will be created here. The investor, LLC Uva-Moloko, also plans to start construction of its dairy complex for 500 cows in 2022.
