The volume of the National Welfare Fund of the Russian Federation reaches the level of 7.1% of GDP-Vladimir Putin

According to him, this is a kind of "airbag", which is actively used in the country. But this does not mean that our state is preparing for some kind of upheaval.

The president noted that in our country there is a law according to which it is possible to spend money of the NWF if its volume exceeds the level of 7% of GDP. Now these indicators reach the level of 7.1%. And the liquid part of the budget is 8.7%.

Vladimir Putin said that part of the funds of the NWF was directed to social payments to citizens: families, students, doctors. As well as to support large enterprises and affected sectors of the economy.

The president concluded that 350 billion rubles were allocated from the budget. Of these, 250 billion have already been spent.

‘We use this ‘airbag’, but we need to use it carefully. We use all methods to ensure the sustainability of the budget, including borrowing.
