The State Duma in the second reading allows farmers in the Russian Federation to sell products on their plots
The bill provides farmers and agricultural consumer cooperatives with the opportunity to sell agricultural products of their own production on the lands they use. The sale will be possible only in specially equipped premises and structures that are part of the property of such persons, or in non-stationary retail facilities. Moreover, the placement of non-stationary commercial objects is allowed only on lands that do not belong to farmland, and if the soil layer is not disturbed. Thus, the placement of non-stationary retail outlets directly on arable land and deposits, hayfields, pastures, lands occupied by perennial plantings (orchards, vineyards, berry fields, etc.) is prohibited.
It will be impossible to put shopping malls directly on a plowed field, but a retail outlet where farm products will be sold may appear next to arable land, explained Vladimir Gruzdev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, to RIA Novosti. In addition, according to him, it will be possible to organize trade in buildings and structures that are already part of the farm: for example, milk can be sold directly on the farm. It is assumed that the law will have to come into force 10 days after its official publication.
