The price of butter at the Global Dairy Trade auction increased by 7.2%
The weighted average price for dairy products at the 275th GDT auction was 3,420 USD / kg. Taking into account the weakening of the ruble against the dollar compared to previous trading, the weighted average price of dairy products in the Russian currency increased by 4.45% to 252.65 rubles/kg, which is 21.1% higher than at the beginning of January 2020.
In total, 30,313 tons of dairy products were sold at the auction, 1.4 thousand tons less than at the previous auction. The number of bidders is 178.
At the auction, the prices of butter (+7.2%), whole milk powder (+3.1%), skimmed milk powder (+4.1%), dehydrated milk fat (+5.5%), cheddar (+5%), lactose (+7.4%) and buttermilk (+6.9%) increased.
The next Global Dairy Trade auction will take place on January 19, 2021.
