LLC "Kazansky dairy plant" became a part of the sub-holding for milk processing of JSC "MILKOM" of the agricultural holding "KOMOS GROUP" in 2017. After a partial start of production, there was launched a project of large-scale reconstruction of the plant to increase the volume of processing up to a thousand tons of raw materials per day. At the end of modernization, the plant will become one of the largest plants in the Russian Federation, writes The DairyNews, citing the press service of the holding.

Implementation of the investment project "Development of Kazansky dairy plant" is planned in three stages. Implementation period is 2017-2021. Total investment will amount to more than 3.5 billion rubles.

The first stage of modernization of the plant took place from July 2017 to July 2019; the total investment amounted to 1.6 billion rubles. The main task of this stage was to launch the enterprise after the bankruptcy procedure. As a result of this work there was reconstructed a milk receiving unit, hardware and fermenting unit, production sites for ultra-pasteurized products, fermentation and production of products in PET bottle, and storage of finished products. All communications were completely replaced; the fleet of milk trucks was renewed. At the end of this stage, the plant increased its production capacity for processing raw milk to 500 tons per day.

The second stage of modernization is planned for 2019-2010. The total investment will be 1.1 billion rubles. The purpose of this stage is to increase the capacity of the plant to 1 000 tons per day.

The third stage of reconstruction will be in 2020-2021. The total investment amounts to 0.8 billion rubles. This stage will include upgrading of auxiliary facilities (boiler, compressor, electricity supply), and construction of local treatment facilities.

"High-tech lines installed at the plant after the reconstruction, allow to ensure high quality and safety of products, to exclude the influence of extraneous factors in the production and get the so-called "100% contactless milk", – commented Andrey Shutov, managing shareholder of LLC "KOMOS GROUP". – We hope that the modern equipment of the Kazansky dairy plant will also allow us to implement large promising projects in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, such as, for example, the Russian national program "School milk". We already have a successful experience of participation in this program in Udmurtia: since 2006, we provide schoolchildren of 1-4 grades with a daily portion of fortified milk under the brand "Toptyzhka", – added Andrey Shutov.

During the reconstruction the factory was equipped with modern equipment of leading world companies – Tetra Pak, "Alfa L Service", GEA, "Index 6", "SoyuzChimMach", "Protemol", factory "Tsvet (Color)". The full launch of the plant will create more than 1,000 jobs, as well as increase tax revenues to the budgets of all levels.
