The debt of medium and large enterprises of the dairy industry is more than 300 billion rubles – Rosselkhozbank
At the same time, in January-February 2021, 8.2 billion rubles were allocated to livestock enterprises in the dairy and meat-and-dairy sectors under the preferential lending program. Including small and medium-sized enterprises - 2.7 billion rubles.
The press service noted that in 2020, the share of medium and small enterprises in the volume of preferential loans issued for dairy farming was 28%.
‘According to Rosstat, at the beginning of 2021, the debt on loans and loans received by medium and large enterprises and organizations in the dairy industry is estimated at more than 300 billion rubles. Moreover, if in 2018 the increase in debt was 25%, in 2019 it decreased to 19%, and in 2020 - to less than 2%,’ reported in the press service of Rosselkhozbank.
The company noted that the share of the dairy industry in the total amount of debt of medium and large agricultural enterprises is about 12%. At the same time, the ratio of the volume of debt on loans and borrowings to the revenue of enterprises in this segment has increased significantly in recent years: from less than 70% to more than 90%.
‘The loan portfolio of small businesses operating in the dairy industry is estimated at 40 billion rubles and is about 11% of the total industry volume. In the future, by 2025, we expect the total loan portfolio of dairy enterprises to grow to more than 400 billion rubles, including for small businesses - to more than 60 billion rubles. The share of the latter, according to our estimates, may increase to 15%,’ concluded in the press service of Rosselkhozbank.
