The breeding plant “Bugry” will build a dairy farm for 6000 head. It is expected that this will increase the volume of milk production in Leningrad region by 27 thousand tons annually.

The breeding plant “Bugry” is launching a project to create a dairy farm for 6000 head in Luga district. The new farm will increase the volume of milk production in Leningrad region by 27 thousand tons per year.

The breeding plant “Bugry” will allocate 2 billion rubles for this purpose. At the same time, another 1.2 billion rubles of investment will be directed to projects for the production of cheeses, the capacity of which will be up to 10 thousand tons of products per year.

As Online47 reported earlier, the prospects for the development of the dairy industry in the 47th region, as well as the results of 2019, were discussed on July 16, at a meeting at the St. Petersburg Agro-Industrial University.

The meeting was attended by Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko and heads of leading enterprises in the region. According to the results of the first half of 2020, more than 308 thousand tons of milk were produced in Leningrad region, and the volume of processing reached 109%.
