Rusmolco increased milk production to 131 thousand tons in 2020
Russian Dairy Company, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Olam International and one of the largest producers of raw milk in Russia, continues to increase the volume of raw milk production. For the 12 months of last year, the gross milk yield amounted to 131,000 tons of milk, which is 43% higher than in 2019. Compared to 2019, the number of cattle increased by 23%.

The positive dynamics of growth in the dairy cattle breeding sector is associated with the commissioning of new capacities and the expansion of existing farms. In December last year, the company completed the construction of the largest closed-cycle dairy complex in Russia for 5,200 milking cows in Serdobsk district of Penza region. The project was implemented as part of an investment program worth 4.5 billion rubles, launched by Rusmolco in 2019. The financial partner was Rosselkhozbank. In 2020, the company also expanded the dairy complex for 4,600 cows in the Nizhny Lomov district and the complex for 3,600 cows in Narovchat district.
The improvement of indicators is facilitated by systematic work on the introduction of modern technologies in the processes of raising, feeding and milking, improving the feed base and the genetic potential of animals. In 2021, the company will continue to develop the livestock sector, increasing production indicators and production volumes of premium milk.
