Rosselkhoznadzor: to speak about the return of certain countries and enterprises to the Russian market, is too early
"To talk about what the odds are, from what countries and what companies have the access to the Russian market, it is premature. This is a multifaceted issue", - said the assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Vasily Lavrovsky on the sidelines of the Russian-Greek forum in Thessaloniki on Friday.
According to him, Rosselkhoznadzor interacts with the Supervisory services of Greece, checks businesses so that after the abolition of bradenburg they could immediately return to the Russian market.
"A pretty serious range of Greek companies were checked. Now the main issue is to make them correct the mistakes, what they haven’t, unfortunately, done yet," he said.
As V. Lavrovsky considers, the issue of returning foreign suppliers will also depend on the price situation, the needs of the Russian market, which vary in connection with the saturation of its domestic products and products from countries that have not fallen under the Russian embargo.
Currently, because of the food embargo Greece as a EU member cannot deliver meat and meat products, fish and fish products, milk and dairy products, vegetables and fruits to Russia. The ban was introduced on 7 August 2014 and extended until the end of 2017.
