Production site Glazov-moloko of the holding company Komos Group has shipped whey powder to China
The shipment will be made within two days, on May 27 and 28. The total weight of the products will be 100 tons. The batch of goods will go to China by sea - through Novorossiysk to the final point – the city of Qingdao.
‘Glazov-moloko became the third enterprise of the milk processing sub-holding of JSC MILCOM, accredited for deliveries to China,’ says Andrey Shutov, managing shareholder of the agricultural holding KOMOS GROUP. ‘The resolution on entering the site into the register of suppliers to China was signed by the Rosselkhoznadzor on March 17 this year. The products of the site were analyzed for physico-chemical, organoleptic, and microbiological safety indicators, which allows us to assert its high quality and export supplies to the country. We also planned to modernize the site Glazov-moloko, including the renewal of the drying complex, which will increase the volume of liquid whey processing from 450 to 800 tons per day. This will allow us to expand the range of products in general and will have a positive impact on the export of this product.’
China is the largest importer of whey powder. At the end of last year, the country purchased this product for 809.7 million US dollars – which is almost a quarter of all world imports. Whey is widely used in China. Most often, it is used to make feed for farm animals, but it is also used in food and cosmetics industries.
