Pestravsky butter plant launches UHT milk production line
Natural milk fr om the leading farms of the Volga region is present in the line of the brand "Pestravka" from the first days of its existence, that is, about 20 years. Despite the fact that during this time the brand's range has expanded to 100 products, this drink remains a hit of sales.
Now after launching a new production line, the traditional UHT milk with fat content of 3.2% and 2.5% may be stored up to 180 days (which significantly extends geography of sales of milk "Pestravka", allowing you to carry the product outside the Volga region). New packaging helps to preserve taste and benefits of organic milk for a long time and UHT technology allows to heat the raw milk of high quality for a few seconds to 137°C (as a result, the microflora responsible for the souring of milk disappears, but useful protein, calcium and vitamins remain) and pack it without access of extraneous air. Such milk in a closed package without compromising the taste and benefits can be stored at a temperature of 20-25°C.
The maximum capacity of the UHT milk line is 100 tons per shift. Now there is an additional adjustment of the equipment, which will allow to produce not only milk, but also other products. The line will be fully operational by the end of February.
Like all products of "Pestravka", the novelty is made strictly according to GOST (State standard), without the addition of milk powder and any preservatives. And there's an honest liter of milk inside.
As the director of the butter plant Nikolay Astafurov said during the visit, the company processes more than 140 tons of raw milk daily, and raw materials are purchased mainly from Samara producers. ‘At the end of last year, the volume of processing doubled and amounted to 47.15 thousand tons. The plant produced 46.8 thousand tons of products,’ said the head of the enterprise.
All milk that comes to the plant for processing is thoroughly tested in its own laboratory. It is the strict control of raw materials and finished products that allows the Pestravsky butter plant to produce milk, kefir, ryazhenka, sour cream, acidophilus and yoghurts, so beloved by residents of not only Samara region, but also other regions.
‘I am sure that many people know this trademark,’ said Governor Dmitry Azarov after the visit. - The butter plant is one of the largest in the region for milk processing, wh ere 298 people work. The company is actively developing: even in the conditions of last year, the volume of processing has doubled… It is important that the largest part of raw materials is supplied by the farms of our region, and the finished products are delivered to nine other regions of the country.’
