No country in the world has such margins on dairy products as in Russia – Lyudmila Manitskaya
That is why the organisation had to send a letter to the Federal Service and the government to figure out how such margins are possible.
‘In the case when the incomes of the population have fallen, and trade margins have increased, the actual incomes of dairy industry enterprises for processing and production of milk are washed out,’ Lyudmila Manitskaya noted.
She added that the level of consumption of dairy products in Russia directly depends on margins and statistics clearly demonstrate this.
‘In 2020, the annual consumption was 234 kg of milk per person. Although, according to the estimates of the Ministry of Health, there should be at least 325 kg per person. I would like to remind you that in 1990 there was 385 kg per person. And for comparison: in the Netherlands, milk consumption is 500 kg per person, in Germany and France - 400 kg per person,’ the expert concluded.
