Over the five months of this year, agricultural organizations and farms of the Republic produced a total of 315.7 thousand tons of milk, thereby improving their last year's performance by 16.6 thousand tons. Sales of commercial milk have increased by 268.1 thousand tons against 266.3 thousand tons (+7.3%). Marketability was 90% (+1%).
Dairy leader of the Udmurt Republic remains Vavozhskoe district, since the beginning of year there have been produced 28,1 thousand tons of milk. The largest increase - 124.1% - was provided by Kambar District. Vavozhskoe and Kambar breeders also lead the regional rankings in terms of volume and sales volume growth of milk.
The dynamics in the industry is maintained due to the growth of milk production of cows. There is an increase of 140 kg per cow or 5% compared to the same level in 2018. The most highly productive cows today are kept in the farms of the Sharkan district – they add 18% or 519 kg per cow and plan to complete the year with a result of 8109 kg per cow. In general, six rural areas of Udmurtia add more than 300 kg per cow.
Today, the average daily milk yield per cow in the Republic is 19 kg (last year on the same date it was 17.5 kg). The purchase price of milk remains stable - according to operational data on June 5, it is on average 22.54 rubles/kg (excluding VAT). For comparison, in January it was 23.00 rubles/kg.
