Milk deficiency map-2018: milk consumption in Russia increased to 153 kg per capita
The highest rate of milk consumption is in Kirov region, 276 kg per capita per year. However, it is worth noting that the Russian Dairy Research Center does not take into account products with milk fat substitutes in these calculations. The production of raw milk in the country is growing; therefore, the consumption of milk is also growing. However, consumption of dairy products without conversion to milk is likely to decline according to DIA estimates.
Kirov region is one of the regions that will host the participants of the international Motor Rally "Way to milk!" on 18-24 August 2019. Also, the motorcade of the Motor Rally will visit the Republic of Udmurtia and Bashkortostan. In these regions, consumption figures are 207 kg and 125, 5 respectively.
Milk deficiency map is an analytical tool that shows the self-sufficiency of each region of Russia with milk. The map shows the ratio of milk production and consumption by regions of Russia. Link to the latest version of the map.
