"About twenty new farms will appear in Moscow region due to the program "Agrostartup". Following the consideration of applications by the Commission, it was decided to support 18 projects. The total amount of grants is 63 million rubles", said Andrey Razin.
Grant "Agrostartup" – is a new form of state support for agriculture this year. It is allocated within the framework of the regional project "System of support for farmers and development of rural cooperation in Moscow region".
"The grant has become the most popular among existing and potential farmers of Moscow region. 48 applications were submitted for the competition. Almost all the projects that won are aimed at creating a farm from scratch", said Andrey Razin.
According to the Minister, most grantees want to engage in beef cattle farming.
"6 farmers want to achieve results in dairy farming. A lot of participants of “Agrostartup” showed interest in dairy goat farming. Due to the implementation of the national project in Moscow region there will also be processing of bee products - 5 beekeepers will receive the grant", - said Andrey Razin.
New farms, according to the Minister, will create more than 100 new jobs in rural areas.
