In China, milk purchase prices have risen to record highs, according to weekly data from the country's government. Maxim Fasteev, a leading analyst of Infagro, wrote about this in his official telegram channel, writes The DairyNews.

‘For the week ending July 4, 2021, milk prices amounted to 4.30 yuan per kg, which is 20% higher than for the same period in 2020,’ the expert wrote.

He also noted that milk prices in China, as a rule, correlate with the dynamics of world prices for skimmed milk powder in the main export regions (EU/ USA/ NZ), and have now increased, despite a sharp increase in local production of raw materials, which is associated with an overall increase in consumption of dairy products in China over the past year.
