The agricultural holding Komos Group this year plans to export 880 tons of dairy products (including ice cream), 800 tons of meat products, 150 tons of poultry meat, as well as 500 thousand eggs, reported in the press service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Agroexport to The DairyNews.

‘The plans for the current year are to expand the geography of sales to the UAE, Vietnam, Jordan, Singapore and Oman,’ said Andrey Shutov, managing shareholder of LLC KOMOS GROUP, to Agroexport.

The company has been developing its export business since 2019. The products are delivered not only to 72 regions of Russia, but also to Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Mongolia, China and the United States. UHT-milk, dairy products and cocktails, pork products, and feed for farm animals are shipped abroad. During 2020, 329.8 tons of dairy products, 119 tons of ice cream and 713 tons of meat were exported.

The United States of America has become the eighth country to which the agricultural holding Komos Group exports its products. The pilot delivery to the United States took place in January of this year with the production enterprise Sarapul-Moloko of JSC Milcom. The volume of the first batch was 10 tons – this is milk of various fat content and cream under the brand "Selo Zelenoe". All products are ultra-pasteurized, with a shelf life of 6 to 12 months. The batch has already passed all the necessary procedures for legalization and release into circulation in the United States, the competent departments of the FDA and USDA have registered JSC Milcom and issued the appropriate permits.

‘After the first shipment, our partners made conclusions about the need for additional delivery. The second shipment to the United States took place in May in the same composition and volume. In both cases, the containers with the products were delivered by sea via St. Petersburg and Rotterdam to the port of New York, from where the goods were distributed throughout the United States,’ says Andrey Shutov.

According to him, the development of exports is a priority direction of the strategic policy of the agricultural holding. In 2017, one of the company's enterprises – Perm cold storage plant Sozvezdie - was included in the list of exporters to China and Mongolia, and since December 1, 2017 - to the EAEU countries. 2019 was a landmark year for the beginning of active cooperation with foreign partners, when the production sites of the holding were accredited by the Information system Cerberus of the Rosselkhoznadzor. Also, by 2019, all production sites of JSC Milcom were certified according to the international standard FSSC 22000.

In order to familiarize foreign consumers and entrepreneurs with the products of the agricultural holding, the company's specialists regularly attend events aimed at establishing long-term cooperation. The holding has signed an agreement to participate in permanent tasting and demonstration pavilions of Russian food products in foreign countries - China, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. ‘The placement of the company's products in the pavilion allows us to present them to potential buyers abroad, establish b2b contacts and increase awareness among foreign buyers,’ explains Andrey Shutov.
