‘The total gross milk production in Moscow region for two weeks of this year is 24 thousand tons. During the same period last year, milk production was 23 thousand tons. The increase is 6%,’ said the Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Sergey Voskresensky.

The productivity of dairy cows on the farms of the region also increased compared to last year. The increase is the result of the support of agricultural producers by the regional authorities, as well as due to the expansion of livestock complexes, conditions for keeping and feeding cattle.

‘The leader in milk production per cow among the farms of the region since the beginning of the year is Leninsky district, Lukhovitsy, Zaraysk and Ozery,’ said Voskresensky.

Governor of Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov set the task to ensure the growth of milk production to one million tons per year.
