Elena Kipeneva is appointed CEO of Valio in Russia

Elena Kipeneva has been working at Valio for more than 8 years. She has extensive experience managing cross-functional teams in all key business areas: marketing, contract manufacturing, sales, quality and product development, and others. Thanks to a deep knowledge of the dairy market, many years of experience in Valio, as well as a versatile education, including in the field of finance and management, Elena can comprehensively and widely evaluate business processes, choosing the most promising areas for the development of the division.

Kari Finska has been managing the division since 2018, and has been working for Valio since 1988. During this time, besides working in the Russian division, Kari was responsible for developing the company's business in the USA, Estonia and China, was head of the Department for international sales of industrial ingredients at Valio Ltd. He will continue his career in Finland, and his experience and knowledge will help the concern develop new areas.

- For Elena, the new appointment is a logical step in continuing her career. She successfully led strategically important projects and coordinated teams during important and sometimes difficult times for the company — for example, in 2014, when counter-sanctions were introduced. The Russian market is strategically important for the Finnish concern, and the division in the Russian Federation is successfully and dynamically developing. I am glad that it will be headed by a professional who is familiar with all the processes from the inside,’ Kari Finska commented on the new appointment.

Elena Kipeneva will take up her duties in January 2021.
