Volgograd-based Elansky cheese-making plant plans to increase its processing capacity to 700 tons of milk per day this year. Natalia Soglasnova, General Director of the enterprise, announced this during a working meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management on the introduction of labeling and modernization of the dairy industry in Volgograd region.

‘We continue to modernize our plant, and in 2021 we plan to increase the processing capacity to 700 tons of milk per day. Today, the number of employees at the enterprise is 864 people, over the past 2 years it has grown by 120 people. For a small village, where the enterprise is located, the number is very significant,’ Natalia Soglasnova said.

Elansky cheese-making plant is the largest milk processor in the region. According to the Dairy Intelligence Agency, in 2020, the company processed about 166 thousand tons of milk.
