The company Danone always sets milk prices in terms of the market conditions and acts strictly according to the Russian legislative system requirements.
This is said in the company’s statement in response to antimonopoly service intention to commence a case. Earlier Saint Petersburg Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) got a claim from raw milk supplier Agro-Trade, OOO stating that one of Danone’s factories, the enterprise Petmol, during the period from April to June 2014 lowered purchase milk price from 20 to 17.5 rubles per liter. According to the claim, retail prices for the factory’s products at the same time were increased – for example milk with 2.5% fat consumption price grew by 33%.

Danone is investigating the claim and will be ready to comment it as soon as it comes to a certain conclusion, said the group’s press-service. It also added that retail prices increase accusation is not correct. According to Danone, from September 2014 group’s selling price increased less than by 1%.
