Coca-Cola invests $ 85 million in expanding the site in Canada
The company emphasizes that they intend to produce ultra-filtered lactose-free milk in Canada at the new facilities.
The new facility, to be launched in the first quarter of 2020, will produce ultra-filtered milk Fairlife in the form of white drinking powder, and chocolate milk with a fat content of 2% to 3.25%.
Raw milk will be supplied to the plant from local Ontario farmers. According to the participants of the Motor Rally, the Coca-Cola project is very interesting primarily because of innovative technologies and the fact that the site will be aimed at the production of a premium product.
- Dairy farmers in Ontario are looking forward to working with Coca-Cola Canada and Fairlife, for the further development of the growing Canadian dairy industry and are pleased that Fairlife offers to expand the range of dairy products for consumers, - said milk producers in an interview with The DairyNews.
