Chistaya Liniya: If the deadline for the introduction of digital labeling is not postponed, the ice cream industry will not be ready in time
The expert noted that each stage of applying the labeling codes has its own difficulties. At the same time, the most difficult thing, according to him, is aggregation and ensuring stable operation of scanners at sub-zero temperatures.
At the same time, the representative of the company Chistaya Liniya said that the CATD does not help in solving these problems.
‘We are considering both the typographic method of applying codes to the packaging, and printing on our line. Now it is difficult to say exactly how much will the cost of labeling ice cream be, but the investment will be at least 70 million. The cost of applying one code to the package will be about 1 ruble,’ Nerses Kagramanyan said.
In this regard, he believes that if the deadline for the introduction of mandatory digital labeling is not postponed, the industry will not be ready for it in time.
‘At the height of the season, it will be definitely more difficult to introduce the labeling. Therefore, we all hope for a postponement. At least until autumn,’ summed up the representative of the company Chistaya Liniya.
It is worth reminding that at present, the deadline for mandatory labeling of ice cream and cheese is June 1, 2021. For other categories of dairy products - September 1 and December 1.
