By 2025, the volume of milk production in all categories of farms will reach 34 million tons
Opening the meeting, Dzhambulat Khatuov stressed that 2019 was a fruitful year for dairy farming. The joint efforts of the state, science and business have achieved significant results in the development of the sub-sector. The increase in milk production was more than 700 thousand tons.
"The dairy industry faces the task of ensuring the Doctrine of food security, so it is necessary to continue to increase production to achieve the target of 90%. It is predicted that milk production in all categories of farms will amount to 34.3 million tons by 2025", said the first Deputy Minister.
During the meeting, it was noted that today the State Program has a whole range of measures aimed at developing the sub-sector. In addition, starting from this year, it is planned to provide support to regions in the form of compensatory subsidies, including support for breeding dairy cattle and milk production, and stimulating support, focused on ensuring an increase in milk production.
As a result of the event, the task was set for the regions to analyze the sufficiency of measures taken in the field of development of the sub-sector and conducting breeding work. The results of the analysis will be taken into account by the Department in the future when developing state policy in the field of dairy cattle breeding.
