Bosnia and Herzegovina wants to export its milk to China

Bosnia and Herzegovina hopes to export its dairy products to China, said Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Stasa Kosharac on May 5, reported Xinhua.

‘The export of milk and dairy products to this complex and very large market would be a great incentive for the further development of our dairy industry, as well as for improving our overall policy in agriculture,’ he explained, adding that the development of the dairy sector will reduce the trade deficit of the country.

Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping noted at the China — CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) summit in February this year the intention to import goods worth more than $ 170 billion from CEE countries in the next five years.

In 2020, Bosnia and Herzegovina exported more than 94,000 tons of dairy products, mainly to Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia.
