August company launched another large-scale project in the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of high-tech animal husbandry. The second robotic dairy complex for 2,400 cows was started to be built in Menzelinsk district of Tatarstan, reported in the press service of the company to The DairyNews.

A year ago, a similar project was launched in Muslyumovo district. The new complex will be built in two stages: the first is planned to be completed in 2021, the second – in 2023. The amount of investment, which includes the construction of farms, the purchase of necessary equipment and highly productive herds, is 1.1 billion rubles for each stage. The complex will be equipped with an automated milking system and modern cross-ventilation.

In Menzelinsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan, near the village Stepanovka, a ceremony of laying the first stone was held for a new robotic dairy complex for 2,400 milking cows. The implementation of the next project here begins LLC August-Muslyum – a part of Agroproject of the company August.

The company August is already building a similar dairy farm in Muslyumovo district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Both farms will be equipped with an automatic milking system and modern cross-ventilation. The construction of the first stage of the complex in Menzelinsk district for 1200 cows is planned to be completed in 2021, and the second stage – in 2023. The total investment in this project will amount to about 2.2 billion rubles.

‘A year ago, we laid the foundation stone for a dairy complex in Muslyumovo district. We stopped by and looked at it first: they are expecting new livestock from day to day. In addition, today, an equally large event is taking place in Menzelinsk district. Alexander Mikhailovich, I want to thank you and your team for implementing your thoughts and plans. Together with the municipal authorities, we will support investors who invest in creating jobs, developing new technologies and improving agricultural culture,’ Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressed the Head of August company at the ceremony.

‘In 2017, we visited the Republic of Tatarstan to build a plant in Alabuga. And then the projects went one after another: Tatarstan has created such excellent conditions and is working with us so carefully that it is simply impossible to leave,’ admitted Alexander Uskov, General Director of JSC Firm August. – Quite recently, the day of the agricultural worker was celebrated here: it was an absolutely wonderful holiday, and Tatarstan has something to be proud of. I hope that our company will also start to make a small contribution to the development of agriculture in the Republic.’

When the first stage of the new dairy complex is completed, high-yield Holstein heifers will be brought here. In Agroproject of August company they have placed a bet on high-tech animal husbandry, which allows maintaining the productivity of animals by creating a convenient habitat for them.

‘The cowsheds will be equipped with a cross-ventilation system: it involves the placement of ventilation curtains, through which air enters, and large fans that draw it out, along the entire width of the cowshed. Thus, fresh air will be enough for every animal. As for robotics and automation, we are implementing a so-called voluntary milking system: this means that milking does not have a specific time, and the cow can go to the milking unit itself, and not twice a day, but four or five times – as much as necessary. The stress from additional contacts with farm employees is also minimized, and the animals generally feel more comfortable,’ said Aidar Galyautdinov, General Director of the management company August-Agro.
