Anatoly Losev: the School milk program promotes the revival of the culture of milk consumption

The project aimed at strengthening the immunity of the younger generation can significantly reduce health problems among school-age children. Thus, according to regional health authorities, diseases of the musculoskeletal system of children in Voronezh region are 16.8% less common than before. Moreover, the incidence of endocrine diseases, eating disorders, and metabolic disorders is now 14% lower.

Such results can be achieved by including milk in the daily diet of children and adolescents. Rich in calcium, vitamins and useful trace elements, milk helps the child's body to develop properly and resist external threats.

By the way, much is being done in the region to ensure that Voronezh schoolchildren participate in the activities of the School milk program. This resonates with children. For example, in the framework of the all-Russian competition "Healthy from cows", organized by the Union "Health of our children", students of Voronezh region received prizes for second and third places. Their works – videos about the benefits of milk for children's bodies – were highly evaluated by a competent jury at the Federal level.

It is worth admitting that the benefits of the School milk program are felt not only by children, but also by Voronezh dairy producers. According to Anatoly Losev, General Director of one of these enterprises – JSC Molvest, the program contributes to the revival of the culture of milk consumption.

School milk is a social project, and we openly support this initiative. This program has already proven itself all over the world and has had a positive impact on children's health. We, as producers of dairy products, are ready to continue to contribute to its comprehensive development, adds Mr. Losev.

It is important to note that over the past few years, the region has firmly held the leadership in milk production throughout Russia, taking an honorable third place. At the same time, residents of the region consume 29% more milk than the national average.

Returning to Voronezh schools, it is worth noting the work of the Union "Health of our children", which develops the School milk program in Russia. Students in each locality of Voronezh region enthusiastically participate in the activities of the program.

‘We have already noted the high interest of Voronezh schoolchildren in participating in the competition "Healthy from cows", which was held as part of the School milk program throughout Russia. It is nice to see that not only children from Voronezh, but also from 32 other localities in the region took an active part in the competition. Five teams of students from Voronezh schools won prizes in this competition, showing a genuine interest in milk and its benefits,’ says Olga Panova.

The School milk program continues to develop in Voronezh region in order to provide the younger generation with a strong immune system and form a conscious attitude to healthy nutrition from the first steps in school.
