Alexey Bogdanov: Belarus undersupplied 617 thousand tons of milk to Russia
According to the expert, today the Republic of Belarus faces serious plans for the development of agricultural exports and its diversification.
- The proportion of deliveries to the CIS countries still dominates. Russia remains our main partner, but the forecast plans are not being implemented. There are many questions - why the introduction of restrictions for dairy products from Russia opens imports from third countries. In terms of concentrated milk, cheese, cottage cheese imports from third countries increased significantly in 2018, - said Alexey Bogdanov.
According to the Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus, for three months of 2019, the supply of milk and dairy products to the Russian Federation by Belarusian enterprises amounted to 788 thousand tons. 47 thousand tons are undersupplied according to the forecast.
- The increase in the import of products containing palm oil requires control. Last year, the Russian Federation imported palm oil and products containing vegetable fats in the amount of more than 1 million tons, - said Alexey Bogdanov.
