AgriVolga Holding purchased goats in Austria for the production of organic milk and cheese

Yaroslavl agricultural holding AgriVolga purchased 150 pedigree goats of the Toggenburg breed in Austria and nine pedigree kids from the breeding goat association of Upper Austria, reported the press service of the holding. Since the beginning of 2022, the manufacturer intends to produce organic goat milk and cheese.

Elena Yashaeva, General Director of the agricultural holding, explained that there are no suppliers of Toggenburg goats in Russia.

‘This is a dairy breed of goats, which is characterized by endurance, high milk yields, fertility, and tolerates different weather conditions. In addition, with each new generation, the animals have an increasingly strong immune system,’ explained Ms. Yashaeva.
