14 dairy processing enterprises of Ulyanovsk region are registered in the "Honest Mark" system

At present, the readiness of dairy enterprises to mandatory labeling is not a cause for concern, reported in the regional Ministry of Agriculture to The DairyNews.

According to the Ministry, 14 dairy processing enterprises located in the region were registered in the state information system for monitoring the turnover of goods - the “Honest Mark” system.

In total, 22 organizations are engaged in milk processing in Ulyanovsk region, including 12 industrial enterprises, 6 peasant farm holdings and 4 agricultural consumer cooperatives.

11 enterprises, including 10 producers of cheese and one of ice cream fall under the action of the first stage of labeling, which starts on June 1, 2021,.

The second stage of labeling, introduced since September 1, 2021 for dairy products with an expiration date of more than 40 days, will affect five regional processors. 15 enterprises that produce dairy products with an expiration date of up to 40 days fall under the third stage, which will come into force on December 1, 2021.

‘Milk processing enterprises have decided on the method of labeling, they are working on making contracts with printing houses, as well as on the supply and further maintenance of equipment - a printer, scanner, etc.,’ said the Ministry of Agriculture of the region. ‘The order of financial investments for the preparation of enterprises for labeling by means of identification is calculated individually and depends on the number of production lines, types of products and the chosen means of identification for packaging dairy products.
