Vladimir Svezhenets: in 2018 more than 3 thousand farm holdings will receive more than 7 billion rubles

"Support of small business patterns is one of the priority areas for the Ministry of agriculture of Russia. The main purpose of these meetings is to define the problematic issues and tasks that require immediate solutions, and to discuss plans for the future," said Vladimir Svezhenets.

The Director of the Department said that the maximum grant for beginning farmer is 1.5 million rubles. Since 2017 the size of the maximum grant for farmers developing beef and dairy cattle breeding increased to 3 million rubles.

Another important point, according to Vladimir Svezhenets is that after the full disbursement of the grant (18 months) beginning farmers engaged in livestock breeding are entitled to a grant on development of family livestock farms.

The maximum grant amount for one family farm is 21.6 million rubles, and for farmers developing beef or dairy cattle breeding – up to 30 million rubles.

In 2017, according to preliminary accounting data from the regions 3.8 billion rubles from Federal funds was spent for grant support of the beginning farmers. As a result, the support was provided to 2 527 (peasant) farm holdings. 3.7 billion rubles from Federal funds was allocated on the development of family livestock farms. 727 farmers received grant support in the amount of 6 million rubles for one entity on average.

"In 2018 to support beginning farmers it is tentatively planned to allocate 3.5 billion rubles; for the development of family livestock farms – 3.7 billion rubles. The support will be provided to not less than 3 thousand (peasant) farm holdings", - said Vladimir Svezhenets.

During discussion the participants of the meeting noted that this year the regions do not plan to reduce funding to support small business patterns.
