Vladimir Skvortsov: utilization of milk processing capacity in Russia is about 59.2%
Maximum utilization of processing capacities in the dairy industry since 2013 was observed in 2015 - 61%. Later it decreased and amounted to about 59.2%.
At the same time, according to data announced by the representative of the Ministry of agriculture, the wearing of processing capacity is more than 58%. This figure is steadily increasing.
- At the end of 2016 the share of unprofitable enterprises in the dairy industry was 24.1%, the profitability of dairy producers was on average 6.9%, - said Vladimir Skvortsov.
The Ministry of agriculture has data on 2,300 enterprises engaged in the processing of milk.
- Russia is steadily increasing the production of milk and dairy products, according to our estimates, in 2017 the production of dairy products in terms of milk amounted to 23.8 million tons, - said Skvortsov.
