The Vietnamese company True Milk intends to place a milk processing plant in Primorye

Vice-President of TH True Milk on field crops Le Khac Cuong thanked the Administration of Primorsky Krai for their support and said that the company was interested in areas Yakovlevka, Spassk and Kirovskiy regions.

"We plan to build three livestock complexes and a milk processing plant with capacity of 300 thousand tons of milk per year. Forage for animals will be based on grasses, soy and corn. For implementation of the project of the industrial scale we need at least 20 thousand hectares of land," said Le Khac Cuong.

In his turn, the Vice-President of the Vietnamese company marked the peculiarities of a seaside climate; in some areas the soil is moistened.

The acting Director of the Department of agriculture and food of Primorye Alexey Taran explained that, despite the humid climate, the farmers of the region harvest a good crop.

"Our farmers harvest quite successfully early grain crops, soy and corn. For this they use modern machinery, for example, tracked harvesters, which can keep harvesting in humid conditions", he added.

Alexey Taran emphasized that dairy farming is one of the priority areas of agriculture.

"We will make every effort to implement your project in the near future. The issue of providing land plots is being worked upon by the Ministry of Far East development of the Russian Federation", – concluded the Director of the Department.

We will remind, earlier Vladimir Miklushevsky said that Primorye is extremely interested in the development of dairy farming; today the region provides a market with its own milk only by 40%. However, for this type of production in the region there are all necessary conditions and benefits to other constituent entities of the Far East.

"Moreover, for export-oriented industries. First of all, these are ice-free ports and the international transport corridor "Primorye-1"going along the region and linking them with the Chinese province Heilongjiang. This will allow transporting goods to other countries in the Asia Pacific region and our neighbours from Asia are interested in environmentally friendly products", – said the Governor.
