The turnover of Valio in Russia in 2017 increased by 14%

The company reported that by the results of 2017, the turnover of the subsidiary of the Finnish concern Valio in Russia increased by 14 %. A similar result was shown by LLC "Valio" in 2013, reports the DairyNews.
The volume of production at Valio's own plant in Russia grew by 18 %. In 2017 the company significantly increased the maximum production capacity of the enterprise - up to 15 thousand tons. The total volume of investments in this site exceeded 67 million euros.

In addition to the plant in Moscow region, since the end of 2009 Valio has been actively developing contract production in Russia: the volume of Valio products at five partner companies in 2017 increased by 9%.

Last year Valio introduced 13 new products to the Russian market, including new flavors of Valio Clean Label yogurts, including low sugar products, processed Oltemanni cheese in slices, sour cream 15% and sour butter Viola. In total, since August 2014 Valio has launched the production of 127 range items in Russia.

- Valio in Russia is a dynamically developing division of the concern. We are constantly expanding our range and show good results in sales of both Russian and Finnish products, says Kari Finska, General Director of LLC "Valio". – So, following the results of 2017, sales of Finnish lactose-free milk Valio Eila* in Russia increased 10 times. Total sales of Valio products in Russia have increased by 12% in real terms.

It should be noted that the turnover of the entire concern Valio in 2017 increased by 4.3%, while in Finland it remained at the same level, and at export markets grew by 12.4 %. The best results were shown by Valio subsidiaries in Russia, in the Baltic States, in Sweden and in China. In 2017, Valio introduced more than 100 new products to the domestic market. In addition, last year the company opened a new production site in Riihimäki. In total, at present the concern owns 13 plants in Finland, two in Estonia and one in Russia.
