The Rosselkhoznadzor, due to the information system "Mercury", involved in the electronic veterinary certification system, stopped the import of 19 tons of Polish cheese under the guise of Moldavian cheese to Russia, said in the Department.
As reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor, according to the accompanying documents, the cheese was shipped from the Moldovan company VC-Saturn-13. However, in "Mercury" system there was no notification of the Moldovan veterinary service about the fact of its shipment from this plant. During the inspection of the products in some boxes with briquettes of cheese there was discovered marking of the Polish company. In addition, several boxes revealed traces of hiding of the original markings.

The detected products were seized and placed into isolated storage until the decision is made to destroy them.

The Rosselkhoznadzor explained that since October 2017 the Moldovan veterinary service has been using the system “Mercury” to confirm the legitimacy of the products exported to Russia.
