The program to combat bovine leukemia will be launched in 2018 in Moscow region

We will start a large-scale program to improve the health of the herd in the framework of combating leukemia. This is unprecedented measure, almost 300 million rubles a year is going to be spent to get rid completely of the disease in the region," - said interviewee of the Agency.

He reminded that measures to support dairy farming have been already introduced in Moscow region. Thus, the regional authorities doubled the rate of nationwide subsidies per kilogram of sold milk from the regional budget.

"In accordance with this measure of support we add 110% of the regional funds to 100% Federal funds", - said the Minister.

Also in Moscow region a bonus of 2 rubles is allocated per 1 kg of premium milk from high producing cows and maintenance of breeding herds is subsidized in the amount of 14-15 thousand rubles per animal per year. In addition, there are regional grants for the purchase of pedigree young stock for dairy enterprises: 110 rubles for 1 kg of live weight, but not more than 50% of the value of the animal.
