The production of cheese has increased in Russia by 4.3% and cheese products - by 12.5%

However, as noted in the materials of the Agency, for the first nine months of the year cheese production in Russia grew by 4.3%. The production of cheese products increased by 12.5%.

By the end of the first three quarters of the year production of processed milk reduced by 2%. In September, there was produced 425 thousand tons in this category.

The volume of butter production in Russia for the first nine months of the year increased by 7.1%, while in September there was produced 22.4 thousand tons of butter.

The production of milk and condensed cream with additives of sugar has increased by 6.1% for three quarters - in September the production of this category was 69.3 thousand tons.

The production of fermented dairy products (except sour cream) has decreased by 1.1%. In September there was produced 177 thousand tons of fermented dairy products.

Earlier it was reported that production of cheese in the world has increased by 13% from 2010 to 2016. These data are presented in the annual Bulletin of IDF (International Dairy Federation), presented at the World dairy summit in Belfast.

“EkoNiva” will build another dairy complex for 2,800 heads in Kaluga region 

On November 7 in the village of Aristovo of Kaluga region there will be held the official opening of a livestock breeding complex of “EkoNiva” for 2,800 milking cows. Besides, on this day, there will be carried out the laying of the first stone in the construction of another complex for 2,800 heads in the village Solonovo. The planned volume of investments in construction is 2.9 billion rubles, reported to The DairyNews in the press service of the company. 

The construction of the complex in Aristovo began in February 2017. The first batch of cattle was imported in August. There were purchased 3360 Holstein heifers in total. Now, there are 1500 Holstein cows at the complex, the rest will be delivered before the end of the year. The structure consists of three barns for 850, 900 and 1050 heads, a maternity barn, silo area, five lagoons for manure storage.

In one milking parlor there is a "carousel" for 72 stalls, in the small parlor - "herringbone" system for fresh animals for 16 stalls. There was installed cooling equipment for 96 t, individual houses for calves, a shed for animal feed. There will be walking paddocks between the barns. The planned production capacity is 26 000 tons of milk a year.

The total investment in construction amounted to more than 2.5 billion rubles, 2 billion is a loan from "Rosselkhozbank".

Dairy complexes belong to the division of GC EkoNiva – to the company "Kaluzhskaya Niva". The total land area is 22 thousand hectares, there are 8300 cows. About 700 employees are working at the enterprises. Daily farms get 210 tons of milk. The enterprise is a breeding factory for breeding cattle of Brown Swiss and Holstein breeds.
