The Ministry of agriculture: Russia has increased the supply of butter and milk powder from foreign countries

According to the operative data of the monitoring of the Ministry of agriculture, the average price of raw milk for agricultural producers in the Russian Federation on July 28, amounted to 23.51 rubles/kg (- 0.01 rubles/kg for a week, -1,55 rubles/kg by the end of December 2016), reports The DairyNews with reference to the press service of the Federal agriculture Department.
Average consumer prices for 24.07.2017 made: for pasteurized milk – 52.33 rubles/kg (+0.1% for the week, +2.6% since the beginning of 2017); for butter – 517.16 rubles/kg (+0.2% for the week, +7.3% since beginning of 2017); for cheese – 472.33 rubles/kg (0% for the week, +2.5% since the beginning of 2017).

According to operative data of the Federal customs service of Russia (excluding trade with the countries of the EEU) in the current year (as of 23.07.2017) compared to the same period of 2016 the imports of cheese decreased by 34.5% to 8.4 thousand tons. Supplies of butter increased from 6.4 thousand tons in the same period of 2016 to 14.8 thousand tons in the current year. The supply of milk powder from abroad increased from 14.8 thousand tons in the same period of 2016 to 16.8 thousand tons in the current year (countries-suppliers: Turkey, Iran, Uruguay and Switzerland).

Meanwhile, the Dairy Index RDRC on July 31, 2017 amounted to 24.5 rubles/kg (without VAT, fat and protein content 3.6% and 3.0% respectively), 0.53% higher than on July 24. The increase in dairy prices at auction Trigona Dairy Trade led to the growth of the index.
