The Ministry of agriculture of Russia offers prices for grain and milk interventions

The Ministry of agriculture has sent for approval to the FAS draft orders on establishment of the limit levels of minimum purchase prices for possible intervention on the market of grain and milk, reports The DairyNews with reference to the Ministry of agriculture.
In case the decision is made on holding purchasing interventions on the grain market in 2017/2018, the Ministry of agriculture of Russia offers to set the following prices for all regions of the Russian Federation:

  • for soft milling wheat of the 1st grade – 12.5 thousand rubles per ton; wheat of the 2nd grade – 11.5 thousand rubles per ton; wheat of the 3rd grade – 10.3 thousand rubles per ton; wheat of the 4th grade – 9 thousand rubles per ton, wheat of 5th grade – 7.6 thousand rubles per ton;
  • for food rye of group "A" - 7.4 thousand rubles for ton;
  • for feed barley – 7.6 thousand rubles per ton;
  • for corn of the 3rd grade – 7.9 thousand rubles per ton;

Inclusion of information on the prices of wheat of the 1st and 2nd grades in this list is aimed at encouraging the production of wheat of high quality.

In case the decision is made on carrying out interventions on the market of milk and dairy products, the Ministry of agriculture of Russia offers to set the limit levels of minimum prices at the rate of 24 000 rubles per ton of raw milk produced on the territory of the Russian Federation:

  • for skimmed freeze-dried milk powder – 222 thousand rubles per ton;
  • for freeze-dried milk powder, except skimmed – 293 thousand rubles per ton;
  • for butter - 340 thousand rubles per ton.

The mechanism of purchasing interventions on the market of milk and dairy products provides for the organization of commodity interventions through exchange trading and mandatory repurchase of products.

It is planned to hold milk interventions after the adoption of the relevant amendments to normative legal acts in the pilot mode during the period of "big milk" and only in the regions, where it is necessary to balance the price level.
