The Ministry of agriculture announced that the increasing production of raw milk in the country has affected the production volume of dairy products. As stated in the Department of Alexander Tkachev, the rate of milk production increase in agricultural enterprises and farms at the current level of state support and investment with long-term payback of costs in dairy cattle breeding due to the use of the genetic potential of livestock productivity, improved food supply, technological equipment and rational management of the herd will remain at the level of 3-5%. Accordingly, the full import substitution will require about 7-10 years, said in the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The increasing production of raw milk affects the production of dairy products, stress in the Ministry, describing the situation. In particular, there is a stable growth of production of milk-consuming products, which for the first 11 months of this year was for cheese +5.2%, for butter +7.6%.

We will remind that according to experts, the main increase in the category of cheese and cheese products produced by the enterprises of the Russian Federation was achieved due to the increase in the production of cheese products and analog products. 
In 2016, the surplus of cheese on the market in the Russian Federation amounted to 65 667 tons and in 2017 it can grow up to 96 thousand tons. The analysts of the Russian Dairy Research Center (RDRC) came to such conclusion on the basis of analysis of domestic production, imports and newly obtained data from the International Dairy Federation (IDF) on the consumption of cheese in Russia in 2016.
