The first batch of Crimean ice cream, sent to China in early August, reached its destination on Wednesday. This was reported to TASS by the head of the Southern regional export support center, who oversaw the process of registration of documents, Natalia Serova.

"Customs clearance has already been carried out. Our Chinese partners said that the cargo came in perfect condition. There are no claims to the quality, although it took 40 days to deliver the cargo (and customs control was carried out for several weeks – notice of TASS). Now there is already a placement on the shelves [of stores] in China", Serova said.

According to her, another container with ice cream is being prepared for shipment to China, however, a new batch can be increased if there is a demand for Crimean products in Asian retail chains.

The range of supplies of Russian goods to China is dynamically expanding. At the end of 2018, trade in agricultural products and food between the two countries amounted to 4.4 billion dollars, having increased by 24.8%. Exports from Russia to China increased by 42.2% to 2.5 billion dollars, imports - by 7.3% to 1.9 billion dollars.
