SOUZMOLOKO submitted a draft of dairy market development program to the Ministry of Agriculture
The National Dairy Producers Union (SOUZMOLOKO) submitted a draft of dairy market development program to the Ministry of Agriculture on July, 14th. The draft was prepared by the union together with representatives of the Ministry of Economic, Ministry of Finance, Rosselkhoznadzor, Federal Antimonopoly Service, Federal Service on Customers' Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance, Federal State Statistics Service.
The program’s draft was published on the union’s web-site for public debate on June, 26th, SOUZMOLOKO considered all remarks while preparing the final version of the program draft.
According to SOUZMOLOKO suggestions, it is necessary to work out a systematic approach to take the dairy sector out of deep crisis: to set raw milk price range, to fulfill all obligations under interest rate for credits subsidizing and to put in place compensation of investment costs, to pay subsidies per liter of milk, to provide project financing and government guarantees, to create a system of cattle identification, to tighten customs tariff regulation, to create a self-regulatory organization in the Russian dairy sector.
