Sergey Bluma: labeling of finished dairy products is an excessive measure
"We are already doing a lot of work with the system of electronic veterinary certification, with the organization of its work.
It seems to me that marking in these conditions is an excessive measure. We have not really achieved results with EVC, we do not fully understand the value of this system, but we are introducing a new one. I am against the fact that the same thing is controlled in different ways, because the consumer will have to pay for all these additional measures", - said Sergey Bluma.
We will remind, since November 1 in Russia, the electronic veterinary certification will be extended to all groups of dairy products. In addition, since July 15, the country has been conducting a pilot experiment on the introduction of the "Honest mark" labelling in the dairy industry. Labeling for finished dairy products is expected to become mandatory since June 1, 2020.
According to the operator of the system "Honest mark", the Center of Advanced Technology Development, today there has been successfully tested the application of the marking code on the types of packaging, which together occupy 65% of the market of dairy products.
