According to the Russian export center (REC) the positive dynamics of the non-commodity non-energy exports to the same period of the previous year has been recorded for the thirteenth month in a row. So, for 11 months of 2017 the volume of non-commodity non-energy supplies has reached $116 million, which is by 20.8% more than last year, reports The DairyNews with reference to the press service of the REC.
The main factors of export growth are the rise of world prices, growth of supplies in physical terms and the strengthening of the Russian ruble. Unconditional positive role was played by the state support system for Russian exports and the improvement of financial and non-financial tools, including special programs for partial compensation of expenses of exporters for certification, transportation, patenting, participation in exhibitions and fairs and others.

For the first 11 months 2017 non-commodity non-energy export has increased in 9 of the 10 commodity groups. Thus, exports of steel products increased by 28.9%, reaching $32 billion, the food exports increased by 22.6% (the volume of deliveries amounted to $16.9 billion), machinery products (+12.2%, the volume is $25.9 billion).

In the structure of non-commodity non-energy exports there increased the share of precious metals and stones – for the period from January to November 2017, it amounted to 5.2% (last year this figure was 4%). The volume of supplies of this commodity group amounted to 6 billion compared to 3.8 billion last year, showing an increase of 58.6%.

It’s worth noting that the supply of wood and paper products, as well as glass, ceramics and stone products has been rising for the 16th month in a row (compared to the previous year), of steel products – for the 13th month, chemical products and food – for the 9th.

The top five major non-commodity non-energy export goods for 11 months of 2017 were steel products ($5.4 billion), wheat ($5 billion), aluminium and its alloys ($4.8 billion), lumber ($3.6 billion) and refined copper ($3.2 billion).

It should be noted that the exports of goods with high degree of processing is gradually increasing– in January-November last year, the supplies reached $40.3 billion, having increased by 10.7%. Among the main products of high value added – such products as cars ($1.2 billion, +20,6%), pneumatic tires ($1.1 billion), detergents and cleaning products ($488 million, +102,3%), chocolate products ($479 million, +12.2%), auto parts ($469 million, +47.8%), lasers and special optics ($440 million, +84.8%), thermal equipment ($427 million, +135%), pre-packaged drugs ($400 million, +9.7%).

The main directions of Russian non-commodity non-energy exports are traditionally the CIS countries, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region; America, the Middle East and Africa also have significant value. The three leading trade partners of Russia traditionally include China, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The best dynamics of non-commodity supply is also observed in Turkey, Egypt, Finland and others.
