Russian Ag. Ministry plans to discuss the Russian State Agrarian University’s alienation of land

The Ministry supported cession of university’s part of unused land in case the academy develops its material and production base and solves social problems within the staff. This was said by the Minister of Agriculture Aleksander Tkachyov.

The purpose of this territory development – is to create favourable conditions for people, said Alexander Plutnik, Head of Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending ( AHML) Management Board. The conflict contradicts this purpose. It is planned to continue working at the project only after negotiations with citizens who live near the university and the university staff.

The controversy surrounding academy’s lands arose from the protocol by Government Commission on Developing Housing Construction and Evaluating the Effective Use of Federally Owned Land. According to the document it is planned to confiscate 100 ha of Russian State Agrarian University’s land and to pass them to Russian Housing Development Foundation.
