The Ministry of agriculture announced that Israel will soon begin to export dairy products of domestic enterprises to Russia. According to the Ministry, exports will reach several million dollars per year.
The import of products of animal origin involves the risk of dissemination of infectious diseases dangerous for other animals and for humans. In order to minimize this possibility, the Rosselkhoznadzor has tested Israeli dairy products for three years.

At the end of the testing Russia has decided to approve the import of Israeli dairy products, reserving the right to inspect the goods with the help of the veterinary service under the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation. Dairy products of companies "Tnuva", "BA-Emek", "Gadison" and many others will be supplied to Russia.

Currently, Israel exports dairy products to 36 countries, including the European Union countries, the USA, Canada and Asia. Most products are designed for the Jewish communities seeking to use the kosher food produced in Israel.

According to the Ministry of agriculture, the annual volume of exported dairy products to Europe reaches 2.292 tons, to the United States and Canada - 1.456 tons, to Asia - 3.180 tons.

Exports of dairy products to Russia should be aimed at the whole population, not just the Jewish communities.

"Russia's decision to approve exports of goods from Israel once again confirms the quality of the control of the Ministry, said Dr. Shlomo Garazi, chief doctor of the veterinary service under the Ministry of agriculture. - Trade agreement is a new milestone in the development of the Israeli economy and the reputation of the Israeli dairy market in the global arena".

The Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel added that Russia's decision to import dairy products from Israel explains not only the high quality of Israeli products, but about improving relations between the two countries. He promised that Israel will soon establish agricultural exports to other countries.
