Russia decreased import of cheese by 24.1%
This is according to Federal Customs Service data (excluding supplies from Belorussia and Kazakhstan).
Import of cheese decreased by 8.9%, import of dried milk from far abroad countries increased by 3.8 times and reached 10.1 thousand tons (exporters: Argentina, Uruguay. Serbia). Together with supplies from Belorussia import of this product didn’t show increase.
As of June, 24th the agricultural producers’ weighted average price of for raw milk in Russian Federation totaled 21.15 rubles per kg.
As of June, 20th average consumer prices for heat-treated milk reached 48.20 rubles per kg (- 0.1% within a week, + 1.8% since the beginning of the year); for butter – 409.13 rubles per kg (+ 0.1%, + 3.5%); for cheese – 431.01 rubles per kg (- 0.1%, + 3.3%).
As of June, 20th the milk yield in 24 hours reached 48.4 thousand tons (+1.4% compared to the same level of 2015). Milk realization totaled 45.5 thousand tons (+2.4% compared to the same level of 2015).
