Prices for the main categories of dairy products remain stable
Thus, according to the Ministry, the average price of agricultural producers for whole pasteurized milk (fat content of 3.2%) on March 24 was 45.22 rubles/kg (including VAT), which is lower than at the previous week by 0.4%. The average cost of whole milk powder was 250.02 rubles/kg (+0.2%), skimmed milk powder - 189.12 rubles/kg (-1.5%).
The average price for butter with a fat content of 72.5% was 431.97 rubles/kg (-0.1%), for butter with a fat content of 82.5% - 502.38 rubles/kg (-0.4%). The cost of hard and soft cheeses was 368.94 rubles/kg, which is 0.8% lower than at the previous week.
According to Rosstat, the volume of industrial production of milk and cream powder in January-February 2020 amounted to 19.7 thousand tons (+30.6%), fermented dairy products (except cottage cheese) - 465.9 thousand tons (+2.7%), cheeses – 86.7 thousand tons (+15.3%), milk–containing products with a substitute for milk fat produced using cheese technology – 29.7 thousand tons (+6.8%), butter - 42.3 thousand tons (+16.1%).
