Olam reported that the company owns 93% of shares in “Rusmolko”
The Singapore Company Olam became the main owner of “Rusmolko” in 2012.
Then the group agreed to invest $75 million in “Rusmolko” in exchange for the main share in the business. As a result of the deal, the value of the Russian company was to reach $130 million.
According to “The Kommersant”, Naum Babayev lost his interest in this business long ago, and is mainly engaged in the development of turkey production, as well as in the dairy project "Damate" in Tyumen region, where the livestock complex is developing in partnership with “Danone”.
The press service of Olam reported that at the end of 2018, the group owned 93% of “Rusmolko”. The company chose not to talk about plans for a full redemption of the company's shares.
Gross milk yield at the end of 2018 amounted to 85 thousand tons, the number of cattle by the end of the year has increased to 20 463 heads. Under the management of the company there is 156 235 hectares of land, which allows to fully provide the growing livestock with own forages. In 2018, there were harvested 55 thousand tons of haylage, 71 thousand tons of silage, 14 thousand tons of wet corn. In addition, 87 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested with an average yield of 37 centners per hectare. The gross harvest of sugar beet amounted to 100 thousand tons, industrial crops - 23 thousand tons.
